So, I rode today! First time since last April.
It was fun, it was short (only about 15 minutes saddle time) we walked and trotted and turned and whoa-ed and it was all rusty and awkward but right at the same time.
My little mare has really calmed down a lot. Today is Monday, and I'd only just groomed her a few times in the last week - no longing or handwalking yet we still had a nice quiet first ride back. Felt good.

Oh that's so exciting. You had a much smoother ride than my first ones up with Rose after she had some serious down time. I can't wait to start reading about your adventures again. Look forward to reading more!

E.G. - I may just have to take you up on that! We'll see - I loaned off my breast collar and I'm not sure I want to do much hills without one. But really there's only the one I can remember on trail A that would be worrisome towards the end. I saw your iris post - they are GORGEOUS!
